continued from episode 1.

The next morning, Annie told Esther all that happened, she had tried calling Josh back that night but his phone was unreachable. “Maybe he had an emergency to attend to” Esther offered, “what kind of emergency could that be? I just hope he’s ok” Annie replied. Their conversation was interrupted by an announcement on TV,

“BREAKING NEWS: Rose Benson, the daughter of the Nigerian Ambassador to China has been declared missing, she was last seen yesterday at her school campus, any information regarding her should be reported to the nearest police station.”

“Wonders shall never end” said Annie, “how can a whole governor’s daughter just go missing? This country is becoming something else” she said shaking her head.
Later on, Josh called to apologise, explaining that he had urgent family issues to sort out. They spent almost everyday since then hanging out together, they both couldn’t seem to get enough of each other, soon they discovered that they had similar taste in food, movies, music and even gadgets, coincidentally, they both had the same phone in the same colour, they could only differentiate both phones when the screen was unlocked.

They often joked about swapping phones by mistake until one day it really happened, Annie was rushing back home because the keys to the flat were with her and Esther had been stuck outside waiting, she left without making sure the phone she picked was hers, she didn’t realise she had taken Josh’s phone until she received a shocking message from an unknown number “We have to drown her tonight, the Ambassador is getting desperate to find her” “Oh my God” she screamed rushing to Esther’s room, “I don’t understand what this means” she said explaining what had happened, “Do you think he knows anything about the Ambassador’s daughter’s kidnap?”
“I sincerely hope not” Esther replied looking terrified.

Suddenly, the phone rang and Annie’s name came up on the caller ID, “that must be Josh calling with my phone, what should I do?” Annie said trembling “pick the phone and pretend you haven’t seen the message ” Esther replied, “Hi Josh” she said trying to sound as normal as possible “Annie, you have to leave town now” Josh shouted over the phone, “don’t bother to pack your bags, get some money and take the next flight back to Lagos” “why? What’s going on?” Annie asked starting to get uneasy, “I’ll explain later, just do as I say” Josh replied before hanging up. “please take me to the airport now” she told Esther after narrating what Josh had just said. “Get your bags and lets go, we need to find a taxi now before it gets late” Esther advised.

Few minutes later they were walking down the street looking for a taxi, Esther luckily spotted one passing by and flagged it down, “Take us to the airport” Annie ordered as they hopped into the taxi ,”hurry please” Esther added.
The driver drove at top speed towards the airport till he finally reached the airport junction but instead of turning in he sped past the airport “Don’t you have eyes? You just took us past the airport” Esther said sarcastically, “I was never taking you to the airport madam, and to answer your question, yes I have eyes” the driver replied, “Mr Taxi man, please stop playing games and make a U-turn or we’ll miss this flight” Annie pleaded.
“Shut up” he said pulling a gun out from beneath the seat and pointing it at them “I’m sending you both on a different flight ” he said with an evil grin “its called Final flight 666 to hell.”
