At the start of the year, a number of us had so much to bring in with regards our fitness journey;while some have achieved 100 percent, others are yet to start. Well, it is rightly said that a plan without action is as a mere wish.
My quick question to you, this includes myself: How did you fare this year? This doesn’t involve just fitness but all areas of your life. What propelled you more in 2016? Where did you miss it?
These questions are not to beat you down rather it will assist you in developing an actionable plan as we all ferry into the new year.
The new year is just around the corner, this is the best time to put in your plans for your fitness journey making it sizeable and achievable.
Let me share 3 simple ways:
1. Plan your meal: This involves you thinking of what your meals for the day should look like and you must not break the bank.
Breakfast: Rolled oatmeal with diced fruits acting as sweeteners (caution: no overkill)
Snack: 2 Carrot stocks or an Apple
Lunch: Sweet potatoes & vegetable stirfry with a piece of grilled chicken
Dinner: Homemade vegetable salad
Water is an important component in meal preparation, drink the adequate amount for your body.
2. Exercise: a simple yet consistent 30-minute walk, dance class, 10-minute jump ropes or any other form of fitness that works for you thrice a week can do you much more love.
Endorphins are hormones released when you exercise. Also called the happy hormone.
Don’t term any exercise routine, strenous rather progress as you get stronger and better
3. Self love: You must have heard; “Self love is the best love.”
Your ‘me’ time is essential to your development. It is so exciting to celebrate your victories with yourself first before others. In the new year, learn to make out time for ‘you’ as you deserve it.
